On
October 16, 2024, the University of Law, Vietnam National University, Hanoi
(VNU),
held the grand opening ceremony of the 23rd cohort of the Master's Program in
"Law on Economic Cooperation
and International Affairs”.
Since 2001, the VNU University of Law has been successfully running the Master's Program in ' Law on Economic Cooperation and International Affairs ', which is conducted in French. This program has not only trained international law experts but also significantly strengthened the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and France. On the partner's side, Mr. Jean Sagot-Duvauroux, Program Director, and Mr. Damien Negre, Program Coordinator, attended the ceremony. From the VNU University of Law, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Trọng Điệp, Chairman of the University Council and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Anh, Vice-Rector, along with other school leaders, also attended.
In her speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Anh congratulated the new students. She emphasized that this program's success over the years, demonstrates the effective collaboration between France and Vietnam in legal education, contributing to the promotion of bilateral strategic cooperation. She also expressed her hope that the 23rd cohort will continue the tradition of their predecessors and become ambassadors for legal and cultural cooperation between the two nations. The VNU University of Law has long been a prestigious institution known for its high-quality and sustainable education. It boasts a team of distinguished faculty members and numerous domestic and international collaborative programs. Vice-Rector Nguyễn Hoàng Anh also extended her thanks to Professor Christian Grellois, former Program Director and founder of the program, the Francophone University Association (AUF), and other key individuals and organizations involved in supporting the program.
During the ceremony, Program Director Jean Sagot-Duvauroux highlighted the numerous benefits of the program. He encouraged the students to make the most of this valuable opportunity to engage in both academic and cultural experiences in Vietnam. The program offers not only classroom learning but also internships, joining workshops, and field trips to Singapore, along with the chance to explore Vietnam. He also stressed the program's role in promoting legal and cultural cooperation between Vietnam and France. Representing the 23rd cohort, student Cousturié Louis expressed gratitude to the program organizers and reaffirmed his commitment to striving for excellence in this important program.
This Master's program provides comprehensive knowledge of international law tailored to Vietnam’s economic and legal development and serves as a cultural bridge between Vietnam and other countries.
